Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-05. Written in plain English. Reviewed regularly.

The short version

KiddieWordle doesn't collect personal information from you or your child. There are no accounts. There are no analytics pixels. Game progress lives in your own browser's storage. The only third-party code on the site is Google AdSense, when ads are enabled, and the section below covers exactly what AdSense does and doesn't see.

Information we collect directly

None. We don't ask for names, emails, ages, parent contact info, location, or any other identifying detail. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar trackers.

What our server sees

Like every web server on the internet, ours receives a standard HTTP request when your browser loads a page. That request contains your IP address, your browser type (e.g. "Chrome on iPad"), and the URL you requested. We use that data only for the operational basics: serving the page, blocking abuse, and keeping the site up.

We don't store these logs for longer than 30 days and we don't connect them to any other dataset.

What your browser stores locally

Your browser saves your game progress (current puzzle, guesses so far, difficulty preferences) in its local storage. That data stays on your device. We can't see it. If you clear your browser data, your progress is lost. There's no way to recover it because there's no copy on our side.

Google AdSense (when ads are running)

When ads are enabled on the site, they're served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve those ads. We don't share any of our data with Google; the relationship is between you (your browser) and Google directly.

By Google's own disclosures, AdSense may use:

You can control how Google personalizes ads to you at adssettings.google.com. Google's full privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not request personalized ads for traffic that appears to be from children. We use Google's settings to request only contextual (non-personalized) ads on our pages.

Children under 13 (COPPA)

KiddieWordle is designed for general audiences including families with young children. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone — child or adult — we don't fall under COPPA's parental-consent requirements for collecting children's personal information.

If you believe we've accidentally received personal information from a child, please email the address below and we'll investigate and delete.

EU / UK / California residents

If you're in a jurisdiction with strong privacy laws (GDPR, GDPR-K, CCPA, etc.), you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal information held about you. Because we don't collect personal information, in practice there's nothing to access or delete on our side. AdSense's controls (link above) cover the third-party data Google may hold.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days. We won't silently change how we handle data.
